Mighty houses of stone, high moorland rich in plant life, with droning dragonflies, aromatic Vacherin Mont d'Or cheese, the absinth secret – the Grüne Fee (Green Fairy), dainty music boxes and reserved watchmakers – all permeated by mystical waterways.

The cool, clear charm of Lac de Joux at the foot of a huge forest, mountain farms and hundreds of anthills in the peaceful Parc jurassien vaudois, finally without one push on a pedal, down to cheerful Lac Léman.
